It is Garnacha harvest season—our favorite time of the year! While 2015 was one of the hottest and driest summers on record, Garnacha grapes thrive under these punishing conditions that normally weaken other grapes. A long, hot summer will lead to healthy, ripe, and strong Garnacha grapes, creating an exceptional vintage.

Garnacha grapes are handpicked and harvested in late-September through mid-October. Though it is one of the last grapes to be harvested, it works in favor of the wine: the grapes ripen to perfection in the dry Mediterranean terroir. Sugar level reaches a proper balancing point with the acidity and tannin of the grapes, leading to some very delectable wines that are perfect for any season of the year.
